The "fight camp" myth scares many tourists, but the reality is that 70%+ of foreign visitors to most camps are beginners. Camps make most of their revenue from tourists, so they structure programs to be accessible.
A typical beginner day: morning session (90 min, technique + light pads), break, optional afternoon session (90 min, conditioning + light sparring optional). You will NOT be forced into hard sparring.
Expect to be sore for the first 3–4 days. Many beginners over-train day 1 and quit. Start at one session per day for the first week.
Look for camps marked "beginner-friendly" in our directory — these have explicit beginner programs, clear English instruction, and pad holders trained to work with new students.
