  Chiang Mai cooking classes and Elephants (or Phuket?)?
  Hello I am looking for any recommendations for cooking classes in Chiang Mai? I’ve been looking at Grandmas Cooking School and Thai Akha Kitchen but I wondered if anyone had any experience/ recommendations? Secondly, I would like to go to an elephant sanctuary. I had originally thought I would go to one in Chiang Mai but I could do Phuket also -

  Chiang Mai Cooking class focused on Local Dishes?
  Most of the cooking classes we've seen seem more westernized like Pad Thai or Fried Spring Rolls. (smile organic farm, thai akha kitchen , etc.) We want to do a class that is more advanced and/or focuses on the local regional dishes like khao soi? Also should we book ahead of time, or when we are in the city through our hostel?
